I provide tutoring sessions to students on an individual basis. My services include class work reinforcement and enrichment, homework assistance, test preparation and study skills, and customized lessons to fit your child's needs.
class work reinforcement & enrichment
Sometimes, class work can be daunting to a student. So to keep your child progressing at the proper level, he/she will receive assistance with the current concepts and topics that may be slowing progress. I offer strategies, study skills and other helpful hints to reinforce what your child is learning at school, instilling a sense of accomplishment and success.
homework assistance
Understanding the concepts targeted by homework assignments is key to successful learning. Without it, students can start falling behind. That’s why I assure that your child not only completes homework assignments but also fully understands the concepts behind them. Please note that I do not complete homework assignments for the students, but rather provide the necessary assistance for your child to understand his/her work.
test preparation & study skills
I help students prepare for upcoming tests in the classroom. I also prepare students for standardized tests including:
- Georgia Milestones
- MAP Testing
- ITBS (Iowa Test of Basic Skills)
- COGAT (Cognitive Abilities Test)
- SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test)

This is a key area of what I do and is basic to creating a sense of confidence for your child. I can provide him/her with lessons and activities designed specifically to fit learning needs, styles and current classroom curriculum.
